When the firm Alcorta was founded, the manufacturing activity was focused in hand tool and hunting weapon making. Nowadays the company is fully dedicated to the automotive industry.
In the year 1997, the german forging company Brockhaus Soehne GmbH takes over part of the company and the firm is renamed as Alcorta-Brockhaus S.A.
Recently the german multinational group Mahle, system supplier of engine components, valve train systems and air management systems with 70 manufacturing locations across the world and a workforce of 37.500, has taken over 100% of Brockhaus Soehne GmbH.
